So I have been on the diet generator for 3 months and just switched to the beyond calories diet. I have lost a total of 22 lbs. and feel better then ever! 5 lbs to lose and I am at my goal weight!!! Everyone looks great!!!! Congrats!
I researched this diet — found some testimonials, reviews and explanations.
I started this diet 3 days ago, and have lost 2 1/2 pounds so far. There are rules/guidelines offered for eating in restaurants and fast food, so I’m sure it can be done.
This is a relatively painless, quick diet that offers great appeal in getting 3 days off after each 11 day cycle. That makes it easier to keep up the will-power. Foods are based on preference and are very low maintainence to prepare.
I plan to get down to my goal weight with this plan and then maintain using a generally sensible plan, which I have not had in the recent past.

I am on my 11th day of the Weight Loss 4 Idiots diet. I haven’t weighed myself yet. Tomorrow’s the big day! I have tried other well-known programs, lost significant amounts of weight and then put it back on. I had never had a weight problem until a few years ago. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on medication that had a bunch on side effects. And it’s a Catch 22: If you are overweight it can cause high blood pressure. If you’re taking high blood pressure meds, one of the many horrible side effects is weight gain. I desperately want to lose this weight and get off the poisonous rollercoaster of pharmaceuticals.
Since day 1 of this program I have not been hungry once. I haven’t had cravings for bread or sweets like I usually do. The concept of the diet makes sense and is primarily designed to boost your metabolism. Read a few pages into their website for more details. They have 2 plans you can follow. One where you are given parameters you have to follow, (for example 3 Protein Meals and 1 Carb Meal). And another called the Diet Generator (which I’m using now). They also have a vegetarian version. You pick from a selection of foods and the end result is a plan you can print out to follow. I prepare everything (usually) the night before. They give you loads of common-sense “Tips”, many of which we’ve all heard before. It is suggested to avoid restaurants if you can, but gives you ideas on how to eat if you do. You mentioned being on the road and eating out often. I think it can still be done if you follow their guidelines. They don’t tell you how much to eat…only to stop when you are almost satisfied. One of the biggest of the changes for me has been eating breakfast. I am constantly on the go and never had the time. I truly believe this has changed my seemingly non-existent metabolism! I don’t have late night cravings like I did before.
I know I have lost weight because my clothes are loose. I have had comments from people who don’t know I’m dieting…”how much weight have you lost?” I have a large frame and my weight is evenly distributed. Losing 5 pounds won’t show on me, but 10 will. I can honestly say that though I am very active, I have not done the recommended walking and my water intake fluctuates (some days a lot of water and others barely any). But, the bottom line is, I feel better and I have a lot more energy. There is a one-time $27 registration fee that gives you access to the website information and Diet Generator for a 90 day period. Hi all, I am new here. Just wanted to say I started WL4I (weight loss for idiots) on Tuesday, I am on my 4th day and have lost 5lbs. I realize most of that is water but what a great feeling to see that so soon. Im sure the weight loss will slow down. Seems like a healthy diet for me. Im not a breakfast eater so eating that first meal is a huge change of habit for me
Well it is day eight on the WL4I and I have lost an astonishing 9 pds and I am amazed….This diet is not at all that restrictive unless you like sweets ..which I do but with all the water intake and being able to drink diet sodas I haven’t had a problem. Lost an inch on every single part of my body….It may be some water weight but 9 pds in a week…I am sticking to it…Love this diet…The only thing that works for me…Plus I do alot of mountain biking and yard work which may have added to my success…Just 26 pds to go…:D
Well here I am at the end of the first day of weight loss 4 idiots!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me and given me advice. I am wondering about the day that is just fruit and vegetables. I love roast veggies, potatoes, parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc. Usually I shake them in a bag with a little bit of olive oil. There doesn’t seem to be added fat on this diet. But I noticed when we eat Mixed Salad with Dressing we can use low fat or low carb dressing. What about tossing the veggies in fat free Italian dressing and then roasting? Or am I just dreaming!
I’m wondering how others are preparing their veggie meal on the fruit and veggie day.
I really enjoyed my fruit salad today with some 95% fat free cool whip which is all that is available in my area.:D
Hi guys, It is so nice to have this sight. I have finished day 8 and am down 7lbs. I wasn’t so good over the weekend as had some friends stop by and had a few beers and went out to dinner and that was on my fruit and veggie day so was a little afraid to step on the scale this morning….. but YAY!
I agree that the mixed nutt’s are a great treat. I look forward to my mixed nutt days.

I saw on one of these that someone said they added cheese to their omelete?? I didn’t see anywhere where cheese was allowed?
My very favorite is the Orange and Pineapple smoothie, I add a little splenda… tastes just like an orange julius! yum
I just finished my first 11 days and i lost 7lbs in all. Today is my first cheat day and im having melon for breakfast…thats a first! Im going to have an oatbran sandwich for lunch followed by a steak with mushroom and asparagus for dinner and i can’t wait! im going to be as good as i can be and have no snacks or junk as i dont want to put on what i lost!
